COVID-19 Medical Bills: What You Need to Know
Our team at Assurance Patient Advocate, LLC is wishing you and your family well during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are truly all in this together in order to slow the spread and protect ourselves. In the event you may have been exposed to the virus or even know of someone who has and required medical attention, it is important to contribute to the discussion on what people can expect when it comes to those medical bills.

What does all this mean?
Many large health plan insurers have announced they will be waiving copays, deductibles and coinsurance for many of their members. Many of these insurers included many plans such as Medicare Advantage, Individual, Employer group and Medicaid.

Tip:
If you have a self-funded plan or if your plan has not announced waiving cost share amounts. It never hurts to ask, as most may have something in place to assist their members.

Cigna until May 31, 2020
Aetna until June 01, 2020
Humana February 04, 2020 through an undetermined date
United Healthcare until May 31, 2020
